The Umweltarena in Spreitenbach recently opened a new exhibition designed by KYBURZ Switzerland: The focus is on our advanced recycling process, especially for lithium iron phosphate (LFP) batteries. Visitors have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the recycling process and understand which valuable raw materials are recovered through our process. Each step of the process is explained in detail to give a clear picture of our innovative technology, which is being developed by Olivier Groux and his team.

In addition to the informative exhibition, the environmental arena also offers hands-on experiences: Two of our KYBURZ DXP, which are in service with Swiss Post, are available for test drives. This opportunity allows visitors to experience the quality and performance of our electric vehicles at first hand.

System-Alpenluft AG advises cities, municipalities and industrial companies in the field of waste disposal. A new tool is now available to support decision-making based on specific data.

The tool, called ‘WasteLogs’, is the result of a research project at the University of Freiburg and includes the dissertation of Dr Vera Fischer. She worked together with System-Alpenluft and Schwendimann AG to develop the tool. Various KYBURZ products were used: KYBURZ vehicles (e.g. the DXC articulated lorry) collected waste and data was recorded using the KYBURZ FLEET Management System. In addition to the recorded route, it was also recorded for each load whether a refuse sack, a small container or a large container was removed.

KYBURZ is delighted that municipalities can optimise their waste disposal logistics with ‘WasteLogs’. Digital support for a task that will remain analogue in its execution. The goal is efficient and sustainable waste collection, which means economic AND ecological benefits!

Last week, a vote was held on the KYBURZ construction project in Embrach. Architect Lush Manrecaj and site manager Dominic Haas discussed key details of the interior design with Martin Kyburz. Sarah from our marketing team was also involved in the discussion.

The team quickly agreed that the building's interior should retain the natural materials such as wood, exposed concrete, galvanised steel and glass in their original colours. Colour accents are set by the furnishings and our vehicles, which also introduce individual colour elements.

The construction work is progressing rapidly: all floors should be concreted within the next three weeks and the entire building is scheduled to be closed in three months. The construction management is satisfied with the schedule and the work is being carried out with great precision.

Martin Kyburz is looking forward to the move to the new, ecologically designed company headquarters.
